At John English, there is currently one self-contained Special Education class, which is an LD/Communications class

In addition, there are three Special Education Resource teachers who provide extra support to students within the regular classroom.  They work alongside the classroom teachers to develop programs that meet the learning needs of students who may be working below or above grade level expectations within a regular class.  Extra support may take place in-class or on a withdrawal basis.
